ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ പേര് പോലെ തന്നെ കഥയും വിക്രമനെയും ആദിത്യനേയും ചുറ്റിപറ്റിയാണ്.
മൂന്നു കൂട്ടുകാരുടെ ജീവിത കഥ പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടാണ് ചിത്രം പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നത്.
അനൂപ്‌ മേനോന്‍റെ വാസുദേവ ഷേണായ്ക്ക് തന്റെ കാമുകി ആയ ലക്ഷ്മി(ലെന)യെ നഷ്ടപെടുന്നടിത്തുനിന്നാണ് കഥ തുടങ്ങുന്നത്. ലക്ഷ്മി മറ്റൊരാളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്ന്നു, അത് പോലെ വാസുദേവനും വേറെ വിവാഹം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
രണ്ടുപേര്‍ക്കും ഒരേ സമയം രണ്ട് ആണ്മക്കള്‍ ജനിക്കുന്നു, വിക്രമനും ആദിത്യനും.
വിക്രമന്‍ അച്ഛനായ വാസുദേവനെ പോലെ ഒരു പോലീസ്‌ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍ ആകാനുള്ള കഠിന പ്രയത്നത്തില്‍ ജീവിക്കുമ്പോള്‍, ആദിത്യന്‍ തന്‍റെതായ ലോകത്തില്‍ അടിച്ചു പൊളിച്ചു ജീവിക്കുന്നു.

ചിത്രത്തിന് തിരക്കഥ ഒരുക്കുന്നത്
Story: Two youths end up in a situation where they are forced to commit a theft and what happens next is a mad scramble for their life and for the money they love to have.
Review: Getting to like the film 'Vegam' is like stepping into marriage. There is a flurry of forewarnings about the hidden dangers, about the yawn-filled routines involved in marriage, still people get married failing to resist the rare charms marriage holds for them. Once such gems are discovered, the flaws are ignored and the banality is borne with the patience of a saint.
Vegam comes across a low-key film with a hero, who is yet to build an identity, with a supporting cast who do not flourish a dazzling acting prowess. It brings together money, virtues, desperation of youth and spontaneous decisions which turn the course of life. Not something new, especially when the money gets packed in a bag and helpless youth find themselves scrambling after the bag. The showcase pieces of villains with huge tummies, twirled moustaches play together.
It is hard to write off Vegam as a brainless repetition of cliches for it does engage the viewer. However it happens not with a gripping consistency but certainly like the occasional, surprise breeze that brushes past our faces on a sultry day at the beach. Vineeth Kumar and Gregory gel together to play the trapped youth dreaming of richness with a vigour that is sometimes really absorbing.
Director Anilkumar works within his limits often affording a few scenes that fall way too short of professional filmmaking. Still he manages to grab the attention with a story that is pretty decently told. Vegam may not make for a blockbuster thriller, however it won't leave you hopelessly disappointed, if you really nurture a heart for films.
Apothecary (അപ്പോതിക്കിരി) is an upcoming Malayalam Medical thriller Film Directed By Melvilasom Fame Madhav Ramadasan.
The movie stars Suresh Gopi, Jayasurya and Asif Ali in lead roles. The film marks the comeback of actress Abhirami after a few years. Meera Nandan also plays an important role in the film. The film is set to release on August 2014 which is produced by Dr. George Mathew and Dr. Baby Mathew in the banner of Arambankudiyil Cinemas. After the critically acclaimed movie Melvilasom, Madhav Ramadasan has developed a story with his co-writer Hemanth Kumar. The cinematography is handled by Hari Nair, ISC.
ഈ വര്ഷം ഇതുവരെ ഇറങ്ങിയത്‌ 70 ഓളം ചിത്രങ്ങൾ ആണ്. പക്ഷെ വിജയിച്ച ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ കണക്കെടുത്താൽ വെറും വിരലിൽ എണ്ണാവുന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങൾ മാത്രം. ഈ വര്ഷത്തെ വിജയ ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ യുവ താരങ്ങൾ ആണ് ഇടം പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
2014-ൽ റിലീസ് ആയ കുറച്ചു ചിത്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഒന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കാം:
1. ബാംഗ്ലൂർ ഡെയ്സ്: ഈ വര്ഷത്തെ ആദ്യത്തെ ബ്ലോക്ക്‌ബസ്റ്റെർ. ഈ ചിത്രം റിലീസ് ആയ ആദ്യ ദിനം മുതൽ തന്നെ ചര്ച്ചാ വിഷയം ആയിരുന്നു. ഒരു മൾട്ടി സ്റ്റാർ മൂവി എന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കാവുന്ന ചിത്രമാണ് ബാംഗ്ലൂർ ഡെയ്സ്. യുവാക്കൾക്കും കുടുംബ പ്രേക്ഷകർ ഈ ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത് അഞ്ജലി മേനോൻ ആണ്. നിര്മാണം കയ്യ്കാര്യം ചെയ്തത് അൻവർ റഷീദ്. തികച്ചും പുതുമയുള്ള കഥയുമായ് എത്തിയ ഈ ചിത്രം പ്രേക്ഷകര ഇരു കയ്യും നീട്ടി സ്വീകരിച്ചു. റിലീസ് ആയി ഒരു മാസം പിന്നിടുമ്പോൾ ബാംഗ്ലൂർ ഡെയ്സ് കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മാത്രം വാരി കൂട്ടിയത് 20 കോടിക്ക് മേലെയാണ്. ശനി, ഞായര് ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ഇപ്പഴും പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും ഹൌസ്ഫുൾ ആണ്. ദ്രിശ്യത്തിന് ശേഷം ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ പ്രേക്ഷകർ കണ്ട ചിത്രം ആവും ബാംഗ്ലൂർ ഡെയ്സ്.
2. റിംഗ് മാസ്റ്റർ: ഈ വര്ഷത്തെ ദിലീപിന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ സിനിമ. ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ സംവിധായകൻ റാഫി. വിഷു സീസണിലാണ് ചിത്രം റിലീസ് ആയത്. കുടുംബ പ്രേക്ഷകർ ഇത്തവണയും ദിലീപിനെ കയ്യോഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. വിഷു സീസണിൽ റിലീസ് ആയ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാമൻ റിംഗ് മാസ്റ്റർ തന്നെ. യുവാക്കളിൽ പലര്ക്കും ഈ ചിത്രം അത്ര ബോധിച്ചില്ല. എന്നിട്ട് പോലും റിംഗ് മാസ്റ്റർ ഈ കൊല്ലത്തെ ഒരു സൂപ്പർ ഹിറ്റ്‌ ആയി മാറി. ആരൊക്കെ കച്ച കെട്ടി ഇറങ്ങിയാലും ജനപ്രിയ നായകനെ തോൽപ്പിക്കാൻ ആവില്ല എന്ന് ദിലീപ് ഒരിക്കൽ കൂടി തെളിയിച്ചു. ഈ ചിത്രം ഇപ്പഴും 5 തിയേറ്ററുകളിൽ പ്രദർശനം തുടരുന്നു. ഈ ജനപ്രിയ നായകൻറെ ചിത്രം 16 കോടിയോളം നേടി കഴിഞ്ഞു.
3. ഹൌ ഓൾഡ്‌ ആർ യു: മഞ്ജു വാരിയർ എന്ന നടിയുടെ തിരിച്ചു വരവിനു വഴി ഒരുക്കിയ ചിത്രം. ഈ ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത് റോഷൻ ആണ്ട്രൂസ് ആണ്. ബോബി സഞ്ജയ്‌ ടീമിന്റെ ശക്തമായ തിരകഥയും റോഷൻ ആണ്ട്രൂസിന്റെ സംവിധാന മികവും മഞ്ജു വാരിയരുടെ അഭിനയ തികവും കൂടി ഒന്നിച്ചപ്പോൾ പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക്‌ ലഭിച്ചത് ഒരു ദ്രിശ്യ വിരുന്നാണ്. മഞ്ജു വാരിയരുടെ തിരിച്ചുവരവ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന് വളരെയധികം ഗുണം ചെയ്തു. ഈ ചിത്രം 12 കോടിയോളം നേടി പ്രധാനകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിൽ പ്രദർശനം തുടരുന്നു. ഈ ചിത്രവും സൂപ്പർ ഹിറ്റ്‌ പട്ടികയിൽ ഇടം പിടിച്ചു എന്ന കാര്യത്തില തര്ക്കമില്ല.
4. ഓം ശാന്തി ഓശാന: 2014-ലെ ആദ്യത്തെ സൂപ്പർ ഹിറ്റ്‌ എന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കാവുന്ന ചിത്രം. പുതുമുഖ സംവിധായകൻ ജൂഡ് ആന്റണി ജോസഫ്‌ ആണ് ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത്. ഒരു സ്ത്രീ പക്ഷ സിനിമ സൂപ്പർ ഹിറ്റ്‌ ആവുക്ക എന്നത് ഒരു ചെറിയ കാര്യമല്ല. ഭൂരിഭാഗം യുവാക്കളെയും കുടുംബ പ്രേക്ഷകരെയും ഈ ചിത്രം തൃപ്തിപെടുത്തി. നസ്രിയക്ക്‌ ചേരുന്ന റോൾ തന്നെ ആരുന്നു ഈ സിനിമയിൽ ലഭിച്ചത്. നേരം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് ശേഷം നിവിൻ പോളി-നസ്രിയ ടീം വീണ്ടും ഒന്നിച്ചത് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലാണ്. ഇത്തവണയും അവർ വിജയം കണ്ടു.
5. 7th ഡേ: ഈ വര്ഷം ഇറങ്ങിയ രണ്ടാമത്തെ പ്രിത്വിരാജ് ചിത്രമാണ് 7th ഡേ. ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത് നവാഗതനായ ശ്യംധർ ആണ്. പ്രിത്വിരാജ് എന്ന നടന്റെ ഒരു വണ്‍ മാൻ ഷോ തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു 7th ഡേ. ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലെ സസ്പെൻസ് ആണ് ഇതിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പ്രത്യേകത. ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ചായാഗ്രഹണം പ്രേക്ഷക ശ്രദ്ധ പിടിച്ചു പറ്റിയ മറ്റൊരു ഘടകമാണ്. ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന് ആദ്യ ഒരാഴ്ച ലഭിച്ചത് ഗംഭീര പ്രതികരണം ആണ്. അത് തന്നെയാണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തെ ഈ വര്ഷത്തെ ഹിറ്റ്‌ ചാർട്ടിൽ എത്തിച്ചത്.
6. 1983: മലയാളത്തിൽ ആദ്യമായിട്ടാണ് ക്രിക്കറ്റ്‌ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയ ഒരു ചിത്രം വന്നത്. ഈ വര്ഷത്തെ ആദ്യത്തെ ഹിറ്റ്‌ ആണ് 1983. ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത് അബ്രിഡ് ഷൈൻ ആണ്. ക്രിക്കറ്റ്‌ പ്രേമികൾക്ക് ഈ ചിത്രം ഒരു ആരവം തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു. യുവാക്കളാണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തെ ഹിറ്റ്‌ ചാർട്ടിൽ എത്തിച്ചത്. ചിത്രത്തിൽ നിവിൻ പോളി ചെയ്ത രമേശന്റെ റോൾ ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധ പിടിച്ചു പറ്റിയിരുന്നു. ക്രിക്കറ്റ്‌ ഇഷ്ടപെടുന്ന ഏതൊരു വ്യക്തിയും കണ്ടിരിക്കേണ്ട ചിത്രമാണ് 1983.
ഈ 6 ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് ബോക്സ്‌ഓഫീസിൽ വിജയം കണ്ടത്. ജനശ്രദ്ധ പിടിച്ചു പറ്റിയിട്ടും വിജയം കാണാതെ പോയ സിനിമകളാണ് സ്വപാനം, ഗോഡ്സ് ഓണ്‍ കണ്‍ട്രി, മോസയിലെ കുതിര മീനുകൾ, ലോ പോയിന്റ്‌ എന്നിവ. മമ്മൂട്ടിക്കും മോഹൻലാലിനും ബോക്സ്‌ഓഫീസിൽ കാര്യമായ ചലനങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ട്ടിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. മോഹൻലാലിൻറെ Mr. ഫ്രോഡ് 10 കോടി നേടാൻ ആയെങ്കിലും ചിത്രം സേഫ് ആവാൻ സാറ്റലൈറ്റ് തുക കൂടി ഉള്പെടുതേണ്ടി വരും. മോഹൻലാൽ ഗെസ്റ്റ് റോളിൽ എത്തിയ ചിത്രം കൂതറയും വിജയം കണ്ടില്ല. മമ്മൂട്ടിക്കാവട്ടെ ഈ വര്ഷം നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നത് കനത്ത പരാജയങ്ങളാണ്. ബാല്യകാലസഖി, പ്രൈസ് ദി ലോർഡ്‌, ഗാങ്ങ്സ്റ്റർ എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ പരാജയം ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങി.
ഈ വര്ഷത്തെ ഇതുവരെ ഇറങ്ങിയ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ നോക്കുമ്പോൾ നിവിൻ പോളിയാണ് താരം. ഇറങ്ങിയ 3 സിനിമകളും വിജയിച്ചു. ഇനി വരാൻ ഇരിക്കുന്ന സിനിമകൾക്ക്‌ എല്ലാ വിധ വിജയാശംസകളും നേരുന്നു
Never has a film shown us so much yet, at the same time, given us so little as Transformers: Age Of Extinction. Director Michael Bay throws everything at the screen during a running time longer than any of his three previous entries in the series, using up every last cent of the reported $200+ million budget to deliver state-of-the-art special effects which must have taken each of the creative artist all of the talent and skill to design and create, but fails to meet even the most basic, entry-level results you would expect. Bay’s attitude towards this forth film is strikingly lackadaisical for a man who has become the king of pushing the limits of on-screen chaos (or ‘Bayhem’ as it has become known); whereas before directors like Peter Berg or Zack Snyder have clearly been influenced by (or plaintively copied) his style, Bay has now made a film which looks like a imitation of his own style. There is not one scene of innovative action or style in
Transformers: Age Of Extinction which Bay has become famous for. I have often said ‘love him or hate him, no one does carnage like Bay’ but with his latest film he’s simply phoned it in which is something he couldn’t be accused of before. Each set piece is the same as the last in terms of look, setting, execution, lack of tension, lack of excitement, and lack of awe. As much as I disliked the last Transformers film, it did have a five minute sequence of sheer brilliance as a skyscraper collapses and the humans must hang on for dear life and Bay showed his best action direction since The Rock 15 years before. Bad Boys II was a nasty, gross film but damn it if that highway chase with the car transporter isn’t still one of the most pulse-pounding and innovative car chases I ever seen. Even the first Transformers film had some decent sequences before it gets out of control, showing the audience CGI magic the likes of which we’d not seen before.
